Mud and Things

Ree and Tim and I made spaghetti murals on the wall after supper one day.

we all held hands
and then we got new hats
and yesterday we played in the mud
sweet gooey mud on the side of a giant hill.
My maturity amazes me. I get these moments sometimes where I am like "wow... am I actually 21?" My childhood quickly disintegrated like a mouse full of rat poison. Where did it go? But yes, now I am grown-up and facing a world of responsibility.

Ha.

It's been a good semester thus far. Busy, because its the first semester I've actually had to do my readings (poor me), but good. I love most of my classes and even feel like some of them are not long enough I am enjoying them so much. Others are still much too long, but everything can't be perfect. We've had some good games of pond hockey, some extreme sledding, some happy hang outs, saw Fiddler on the Roof, pranked the boys with lots of sardines... they pranked us back (fortunately we have a friend opossum who I'm sure will help us out some day). We had lots of snow, but then most of it melted and it is almost spring outside. Hence the mud. Ree and James are engaged, that's pretty sweet. That makes me feel old, even though I'm not the one getting married. When your friends get married that means you are grown up. Crazy.

I have some new loves in my life as of late: Vampire weekend. Slumdog Millionaire and the soundtrack. Mud. Opossums, especially fat ones. No morning classes. Dance parties. Certain (unnamed) professors. Green grass under the snow.

I'm going to Florida on Friday. That is sweet.

Vampire Weekend

Where have you been all my life??
